I.     Many of our members who have been faithful contributors in the past may have forgotten or perhaps it's because filling a gas tank now costs $50 or more, but please know that any amount you can give will be gratefully received.   Perhaps the suggested donation of $10 per individual or $20 per family is not possible in many cases.  However, "The Time Is Now" to grow our faith and together we can!  Look for the Chalice Lighter Table during our Coffee Hour following next Sunday's service.  You will be reminded during the spoken announcements at the conclusion of the Service as well as see it written within the Order of Service.  Checks should be made out to UUDMetroNY with Chalice Lighter on the memo line.  Feel good by contributing.

II      To all UU-ers

I had thought that I'd be up for writing individual Thank you notes or making individual calls, but my sister's death affected me even more than I had expected.  So, I'm thanking you en masse.  There were so many kind thoughts and such understanding.   I told some of you that, as a Catholic girl of 13, I gave up candy for a year to ask God to give me a baby sister.  There were already 4 of us and the youngest was 10.  Then, at Age 43, my mother found herself pregnant again, and the wonderful result was Susan, the baby we all adored. She left us at Age 59  --  WAY TOO SOON.  We are all in disbelief.    I know that you all can understand that.

So thank you again.

I'm still trying to sell my house and move to Manhattan.  I will miss the UU community more than anything on Long Island.

Tlaa!

VIII  The original concept of the eUnicorn was to provide information to our congregation regarding timely events that would occasionally occur in between newsletter deadlines and/or newsletter delivery.  Now it seems that our eUnicorn weekly email (as opposed to our bi-weekly Unicorn Newsletter) is the information vehicle for those who do not want to open attachments, visit websites or click on links. Different readership? Reinforcing reminders? We're not sure. So be it. Please remember there is more to know at www.uufsb.org.

Address all "News" to be read to: UUFSBnews@uufsb.org   On the subject line it would be helpful if you would note: Weekly, Bi-Weekly or Both if possible.  Thank you. Roe (Co-chair Communications Committee)
