Chi Gong

THURSDAY, 6:00 p.m.   Qi Gong (Chi Gong) is typically described as exercises for health and well-being. Simplified, Qi is considered your energy, Gong is more like ingredients, i.e., hands, arms, feet, legs, heart, lungs, liver - whatever makes us function.  Movement typically corresponds to a particular organ or system such as skeletal, muscular, circulatory, to name a few. There are many sets of exercises; typically taught are the Tai Chi Chi Gong 18 Movements and/or 8 Pieces of the Brocade. Class usually ends with a 5- to 10-minute meditation that is associated with practice.
