RE: How Parents Can Help

Attend regularly.
Enable your children to attend on a regular basis and to be on time. Attend services as often as you can as a family. To develop the feeling of belonging takes time.

Inform yourself.
The Religious Education Committee has brochures with information about our philosophy and curriculum. Talk to your child's leader about the curriculum or make an appointment with the Director of RE, Nancy Lynch. Religious education is a joint project of the Fellowship and the home.

Get involved.
The R.E. Committee asks parents to volunteer to assist in the classes several Sunday mornings during the year. The sharing and exploring of values can be an enriching experience. Participate in the parent meetings. Read about R.E. events and meetings in the newsletter and supplements. Bring your children to activities and work parties at the Fellowship so that they and you can work side by side with members of all ages and develop that sense of belonging.

Sign up for adult exploration.
The Rev. Carol Wolff will conduct courses for adults who wish to explore their own religious ideas. Newcomers are urged to take an introductory class to assist in the continuation of their own spiritual search.
